About Me
designer | mechanical engineer | creative
Hi! I am a fifth-year Mechanical Engineering and Design student at Northeastern University with a concentration in User Experience. I am passionate about creating elegant and functional solutions to tackle engineering problems.
I have over 1.5 year of combined start-up and consumer product industry experience between working at Lyndra Therapeutics, SharkNinja, and
Apple as a product design engineer. Through these opportunities, I gained valuable experience in CAD modeling for rapid prototyping; designing and testing complex mechanisms with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and haptic subsystems; and working on cross-disciplinary teams to design solutions for unique challenges.
At school, I am an industrial designer and systems level engineer for Generate- Northeastern's student led product development studio. During my three semesters in Generate, I collaborated with diverse teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to create a hockey passing machine, a robotic umpire, and a automated bead making machine for industry clients. My responsibilities spanned across a wide breath of design work including form exploration, chassis design, GUI design,
and branding.
I enjoy working within the intersection of engineering and design. My experiences have only furthered my passion for pushing the boundaries of creativity in this interdisciplinary space, and I am eager to continue exploring new opportunities within it. As I look ahead, I hope to contribute my skills to the industrial design side of consumer products.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy art, scrapbooking, and photography. I also love traveling! Much of my free time in California, while working for Apple, was spent traveling up and down the Pacific Coast Highway. My most recent adventure has brought me to Thailand where I spent the semester taking design courses at Mahidol University.
